Backend Developer – Node.js | AWS | Serverless

Two respected boutique consultancies have teamed up on a major greenfield program – and they’re looking for a Backend Developer (Node.js) to help build secure, scalable services in AWS. This is your chance to work across cloud-native architecture, API development, and serverless deployments with a highly capable, collaborative team.



💻 What You’ll Be Doing:

Building Node.js microservices using Koa, Express, or Hapi

Developing serverless apps using AWS Lambda and related services

Writing well-tested, maintainable code using Mocha, Chai, and TDD

Designing and managing APIs via Google Apigee

Working with AWS infrastructure-as-code using AWS IaaS and Dtool

Contributing to a strong engineering culture across DevOps and delivery teams



🧰 What You’ll Bring:

Strong experience developing with Node.js in backend environments

Hands-on with microservices and serverless patterns on AWS

Familiarity with frameworks like Koa, Express, or Hapi

Confident in unit testing (Mocha, Chai) and test-driven development

Solid AWS knowledge – Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, IAM, etc.

Experience with Google Apigee for API management

Exposure to AWS IaaS and provisioning tools like Dtool
