Sestra People is proud to be partnering exclusively with one of South Australia's largest and most trusted Aged Care providers, who have been delivering compassionate, community-focused services for over 30 years. We are seeking a dynamic, purpose-driven, and values-aligned Helpdesk Manager to lead a dedicated IT support team. This role is pivotal in ensuring seamless internal service delivery and strengthening digital connectivity behind the scenes—empowering staff to provide exceptional care to the community.
🌟About the Role
As the Helpdesk Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of the IT Helpdesk, ensuring timely and effective resolution of technical issues. Reporting directly to the GM of Technology, you will be responsible for the managing and supporting the dedicated Helpdesk team, driving process improvements and maintaining high standards of customer service across the organisation. As part of the broader IT function, you will play a critical role in providing strategic leadership and operational implementation of technology solutions.

🔧 Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the Helpdesk team to deliver efficient and effective IT support.
Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through prompt and professional service.
Monitor helpdesk performance and generate regular reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Collaborate with internal departments and external vendors to maintain strong working relationships.
Drive continuous improvement in helpdesk processes and procedures.
Participate in on-call support and occasional out-of-hours work.
✅ What You’ll Need
Essential:
Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
Proven experience managing a Helpdesk or IT support team (L1, 2 & 3)
Strong technical knowledge of IT systems, software, and hardware.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Current SA driver’s licence.
Desirable:
ITIL certification or equivalent.
Experience in the healthcare or aged care sector.

📌 Additional Info
Intra-state travel required between facilities, including some regional travel; occasional interstate travel may be necessary (ie, trade shows, conferences etc).
Police clearance and vaccination compliance required.
This is a non-smoking workplace.
The occasional out of hours work is required - based on a rotating on-call roster.
Vaccination is required as per any mandate by SA government or internal policy.
This role is onsite, based in Adelaide CBD. Some hybrid flexibility will be afforded to the right candidate, but given the nature of the role, will be largely based in office.
